What do you want?

What do you want? Could you write it down in coherent terms so that ANYONE who read it would understand what you want?

Have you ever taken the time to sit quietly and think about what it is you "really" want in this life?

I'm not talking about the general statements you can get from anyone walking down the street like, "a house, a car, more money, a better job", what have you. Those are generalities embraced by the masses, implanted from birth, and mean nothing.

If you could DO anything, what would it be? If you could HAVE anything, what would it be? If
you could BE anything, what would it be? If you could GO anywhere, where would you go?

Most of us are SO tied up with our busy schedules that we've never taken the time to REALLY ask the question; ' What do I REALLY want?"

Western society has us in the mindset that, if we're not busy with a multitude of things, we aren't being productive. The sad part of all that is, we busy ourselves with things that aren't REALLY important, and leave no time for the things that ARE really important, like "What do I REALLY want?"

Being busy does not necessarily walk hand in hand with being "productive". It merely means we've managed to fill our time with things that keep us "busy".

But in all our busy work, are we REALLY accomplishing anything that matters ?

You must change the "man" first

Everyone wants to change the "world" into something they can feel comfortable living in, with ALL they need to live that comfortable life.

And many attempts are made every day by organizations attempting to accomplish this goal by affecting the outter circumstances of the people. They think if you throw enough money at a problem , it will rectify itself. NOTHING could be further from the truth, and billions of dollars are needlessly wasted every year trying to promote outter change.

Until you change the "inner view" that men have of themselves, no system or program of social change will ever be successful.

Until the man "knows" that there's something better for him, and he's taught "how" to attain it, he will never crawl out of his comfortable rut to pursue the better thing. It's easier for him to stay there and decry all the excuses we have invented for NOT trying to do better.

Economy. Upbringing. Current financial condition. Lack of education. Pick any one of them and find a person that believes it, and you'll find a person with a Phd. in Excusitis. He HAS a formal education, but it's a curriculum of his own design. He was aided in designing his curriculum by everyone that "believes" the same as he does.

Friends. Family. Society. They aided him in it's design.

Why do people have to make things hard?

Why do people have to make things hard. Is simple a problem? I don't care "how simple" a concept is, give it to a person, and they'll go out of thier way to complicate it.

Is there something in the genetic makeup of human beings that can't deal with the idea of something being "simple"??

I'm not looking for answers to this question. If you COULD formulate one, it would be so damned "complicated " that no one could understand it.

Personally, I often think language gets in the way of explaining some things. It creates more confusion than answers. Was the Tower of Babel REALLY destroyed, or are we living it in the here and now?

Let me give you an example:

I think in pictures, not words. I see the picture of an idea as merely that. A simple picture. Now, for me to "detail" that picture in words, in a way that you MIGHT comprehend what I'm seeing, would take a novel of words at times. And then i STILL have no guarantee that you actually see what I'm seeing as I see it.

I can detail it as deeply as I wish with words, but there's STILL no guarantee that we BOTH have even the same definition of the words used. NOW i have to write ANOTHER novel to give you MY definitions of the words I use in HOPES that we're using the same definitions of the words in my definitions! ( And in SOME langauges there will be NO definition for some of the words because that particular word doesn't exist in that language).

One day man is going to have to break the language barrier to reach true communication with another being, and words will not be in the equation
